I am back with cute pictures which I will put up later.
I'm most likely getting sick. Half gallon of orange juice followed by a Nyquil chaser for me tonight. |

So, I don't really have a ton of stuff to post about but I am bored so...
The house is coming along. We finished moving in the last of the stuff on Tuesday (from a storage unit). I've never experienced this before, but my freaking back was so messed up from moving that I was afraid that I really hurt myself. Tylenol has really stepped up to the plate on this one. It's only just today that it's actually not that bad. It's more tingly than (then?) achy today and I am going to go ahead and take that as a good sign. Pat is a tank and even his back is/was pretty messed up, so I guess it makes sense that mine is completely wrecked.
Anyway, we have internet and cable now. Of cource the router is being a little bitch, but I kinda expected that.
We are having some small electrical problems. Maybe you know something I don't:
The light bulbs in the fridge went out. We replaced them with the same exact ones but they won't come on. The one in the freezer works but not the ones in the bottom part of the fridge. I don't get it.
I think we accidentally blew a fuse in one of the rooms (because I went to put the wrong size candle bulb in to the chandelier thingy). We found the fuse boxes for the house (I think) but none of the switches seem to be flipped. Also, we can't figure out which switch is for what area because some genius was too lazy to label them properly.
OK, gotta get back to chemistry. We will most likely be hitting IKEA and Circuit City this weekend if anyone is interested in going.
It's been a very alice in wonderland week in general. I'm looking forward to becoming grounded again so to speak.
EDIT: Also, apparently there is some cosmic law disallowing me from owning ceramic bathroom items. |

Listen up yo, cause I'm about to spit the strait up dope fashizzle.
Too-night, Kendall Sq Theater, 9:30pm showing of Thank You for Smoking
Be there, or run the risk of being eaten by a giant hamper. The hamper can not chew you, but you can bet that it does not smell so good inside. Think about it...
I feekin loath tobacco companies. They sell ridiculously addictive products that have no real benefit whatsoever. Tobacco raises medical insurance prices for everyone, it yellows your teeth, and oh yeah, it significantly increases your chances of getting every cancer imaginable. Somebody should get all Boondocks Saints on the tobacco CEO's and I am not kidding.
We have four people going so far. If you want to go, and you need a ride, I have one more spot in my car and if need be, I may even be able to coerce Pat into driving too.
I think meeting there at 9:10pm would be reasonable. |

| Weekend shananigans |
[Mar. 20th, 2006|11:45 am] |
Friday:
V for Vendetta was absolutely choice. I highly recommend it and I even more highly recommend it in IMAX. See it, so that I can talk about it with you.
Saturday:
Pat and I played tennis for the first time in forever. It was a little chilly but worth it. We played two sets, each of which went to 7-6 with each of us winning one set.
We also played poker later that night. Chris continues to astound me with his odd brand of seemingly dependable luck. One of these times the spell will break, and when it does, I fully intend to clean house.
Sunday:
This too, was an excellent day. I did 5 full loads of laundry, vacuumed and cleaned up my entire apartment, went grocery shopping, and talked to my Dad on the phone.
In the laundry matt there was a man who had some very urgent laundry opinions to share with me. He wanted me to use the larger washers because he insisted that they were a better deal. The large washers were 3.50 whereas the smaller washers were 2.00. I looked at these large washers and they did not look much bigger, let alone 7/4ths the size of the regular ones. This man was clearly wrong, but that did not stop him from sharing his opinion with me seven (I counted) times.
Also, when I was walking to my car to pick up my laundry, I heard a rustle and snap in the trees above me. I looked up just in to time to watch a squirrel fall thirty feet, slam down on the pavement a few feet from where I was standing, and then leap up and run away. It was the damnedest thing. |
